JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With only hours of campaigning left, both candidates started early.
The race for the newly-drawn State Senate seat for District 4 has certainly been a contentious one for Republican candidate Aaron Bean and Democrat Nancy Soderberg. But the two both stood smiling on Election Day, at their respective street corners, waving signs and hoping for last-minute votes.
“It’s been an exciting way to talk to voters and get a real conversation going,” said Soderberg.
"We don’t want to take anything for granted. We want to make sure that we do everything that we possibly can to cross the finish line strong,” said Bean.
Both candidates united in at least this one main message: Get out and vote.
