JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The state has removed Cherish Perrywinkle's sisters from the care of their mother, Rayne.
DCF spokesman John Harrell told Action News DCF's "first concern is to ensure the safety of those children." He also stated the move is not to punish the mother or the family, but to help them. " ... The services we provide will hopefully help in that regard."
Action News reached out to a source close to the family who tells us the girls are staying with a family friend.
