TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- JPMorgan Chase Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card system has been fixed after being down for several hours Friday. The system shut down Friday morning leaving clients of federal assistance in Florida and several other states unable to use their EBT cards to purchase items.

EBT cards are used by recipients of cash and food assistance for purchases in approved stores. With the system down, some stores chose to run a manual processing of up to $40.

Wal-Mart stores have the ability to process manual transactions of up to $100.

The outage began around 7 a.m. Friday and lasted until 1 p.m.

nativejax~Do you care about any one other than self? Do you worship Jesus? From what you post do not appear to be a person that follows His word. What leads you to make the comment "Wait til these free programs are shut down completely...see how hungry you all get." What are you talking about?
