Stolen lottery tickets cashed in as winners
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who broke into a store and stole a bunch of lottery tickets. Police say those tickets were cashed in at other stores in the area.
Police say the burglary happened in the early morning hours on August 9 at the Safari Food Store on Lem Turner Road.
Investigators say the suspect went into the store and took an unknown amount of cigars and lottery tickets. The winning tickets were later cashed in at different locations around the city within a short period of time of the burglary.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. You will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest.
