JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The heavy rain and severe storm threat is over for Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Rainfall totals (estimated by doppler radar, 2nd image below) have averaged 2-5" with some spots 6"+. On Jacksonville's Southside, rain totaled 5.76" for the weekend, 2.77" at the Jacksonville Int'l. Airport. The sun will gradually break out across the area through the afternoon but with gusty west winds. Expect warm temperatures as highs top out in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Clearing skies overnight will be followed by a windy Monday with cool temperatures as highs only reach the 60s with northwest winds of 15-30 mph but with even stronger gusts. An unseasonable chill will hold firm across the local area through much of the week ahead with
