Storms knock out power to hundreds in Northeast Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Electric crews were kept busy Sunday afternoon by strong storms bringing down trees and power lines.

Florida Power and Light says that several hundred of its customers lost power around 12:30 p.m. near the Baker County and Columbia County line. 

Clay Electric reported more 300 of its customers in Alachua, Columbia, and Clay counties lost power and but was quickly restored.

JEA dealt hundreds of power outages on the Northside.

The First Alert Weather team says to expect a stormy pattern in the early part of the week.
