JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Another round of rain is expected at times on Tuesday, especially in the evening. The main storm threat is wind. Winds gusted over 60 mph in parts of Northeast Florida on Monday. Although "general thunderstorms" will dominate, a few storms could be severe. Severe storms are those extra strong storms that produce winds over 60 mph and/or large hail.
Looking ahead...the First Alert Weather Team sees little change in the overall pattern. If anything, we may see more of an inland focus over the upcoming weekend. Rain totals may exceed 2-3" through Thursday.
Temperatures should be seasonal (in the low 90s) for now...then below average over the upcoming weekend. Temps do depend on the amount of cloud cover and the timing of the thunderstorms each afternoon. Onshore winds can also drop temperatures a few degrees during the day.Download the new First Alert iPad app
