JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The start of a stormy pattern this evening will continue -- and increase even more -- Friday through Saturday. Scattered storms this evening will produce heavy downpours and frequent lightning before diminishing between 9pm and midnight. Heavy thunderstorms will develop by noon Friday becoming widespread through the afternoon as cells move northeast at 10-15 mph with rainfall rates of 1-3" per hour. Saturday will be similar but with some sun before storms develop as well as between storms. Muggy temperatures will top out in the mid 80s to near 90 degrees. Click ** here
