Stranded kayaker rescued in St. Johns County
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A woman was rescued early Monday morning after grounding her kayak on the Jetties near the St. Augustine Inlet on the Matanzas River.
She intentionally grounded her kayak on the Jetties after getting separated from her kayaking partner.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, St. Augustine Police, Fire and Rescue all searched for her. A St. Augustine police team eventually found her a few hours later.
Rescuers took her back to shore. No one was harmed in the incident.
