JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- An area of intense thunderstorms will move across metro Jacksonville and much of the I-95 corridor to the beaches this afternoon.  Expect vivid lightning, very heavy rain and gusty winds of 30-50 mph as the storms move northeast at 15 mph.  As much as 1-2" of rain will fall in less than a hour in some spots.  Skies will clear late tonight.  Thunderstorms will become even more numerous through the weekend with virtually all areas getting at least some rain over the 3-day period and some spots will see very heavy rain.  Click here to send First Alert storm photos and click here to go to the Jack Hanania SkyCam network.
