CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A local student has been arrested after police say she pushed and threatened her teacher.

It happened at the Youth Challenge Center on State Road 16 West in Clay County.

Investigators say 17-year-old Laqwanda Butler shoved her teacher after he tried to get her to stop throwing a large wooden block against a door at the school.

The teacher says when he asked her to stop, she cussed at him, and said "you can't touch me."

Police say the teacher managed to get the block away from Butler, and that's when she pushed him against the door, and continued to threaten him.

The teacher was able to get away and call police. Butler was taken to the Duval Detention Center. She is charged with a felony for hitting an educator.
