JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A student pilot walked away from a crash landing in Hamilton County.

Hamilton County Sheriff J. Harrell Reid says 25-year-old Mao Borui made an emergency landing early Monday in a field off US 129 near Jasper and Live Oak when weather in the area got bad.

The plane landed on its nose but Borui walked away with no injuries.

The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.

Borui was flying from Herlong Field in Jacksonville to the Suwanee County Airport. She was unable to make radio contact with anyone so she decided to bring the plane down in the open field.
