Once again, a bunch of protestors that probably know nothing about that which they are protesting. THRER IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE "STAND YOUR GROUND" LAW WHEN PROPERLY ENFORCED BY OUR LEGAL SYSTEM!

Trayvon Martin no good thug up to attacking people at will. Now they want change the stand your ground law, so people like him can attack other citizens more freely. People need to start standing up to this kind junk and fast. I don't think criminals should have the right to attack people on the street following just because they get angry about it. Oh wait that's assault it's ok if black people are attacking white people. That makes it alright.

The "truth" if allowed here is that the SYG defense HAS been attempted in myriad cases by defense attorneys in an attempt to reduce charges, plea bargain, or downright bamboozle the court into letting their client walk. The "fact" that is being omitted is that even though it is mentioned as a possible defense it will not hold up unless the law actually applies. These "statistics" don't speak to the end result. "Self Defense" was probably the first thing heard when murder became a crime but SYG does not allow this to stand unless the rest of the law applies also. It is a good law that does not allow the criminal to force the victim to comply or face legal consequences for THE CRIMINAL'S ACTIONS!
