JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville dipped down to 38 degrees on Thursday morning; not a record, but a far cry from what is normal for this time of year (49 degrees).

For Thursday afternoon, it'll stay unseasonably cool despite sunshine. The First Alert Forecast is only 60 degrees. The average high temp. for March 14th is 73 degrees.

The chilly stuff continues into Friday morning. Once again, temperatures will fall into the 30s. In fact, with lighter winds, we'll have a better chance for inland frost early Friday.

Temperatures begin to rebound Friday afternoon and then take off over the weekend! We'll see daytime maximums rise above average and settle between 77 and 80 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday.

We don't see another cold snap in our near future. And significant rain is not expected over the next 7 days.
