Surveillance video released in string of crash-and-grabs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office released video Thursday of one of the latest in a string of crash and-grab burglaries to hit businesses on the Westside.

Police say they were originally dispatched to the Family Dollar on San Juan Avenue last Monday when a burglar alarm starting going off.

The investigation revealed someone rammed a wall of the store, stole a safe and drove off.

The Family Dollar was reportedly heavily damaged during the crash-and-grab.

Authorities say they were later able to recover the pickup truck but are still trying to identify the suspects.
