PALM COAST, Fla. -- The dramatic surveillance video obtained by Action News shows how quickly the gunman acted, brazenly walking right up to the store counter last Thursday night, pointing a handgun and firing the fatal shots that killed 32-year-old store clerk Zuheily Rosado. The Palm Coast mother of six was later found dead behind the counter.
"It was personal," said Maria Vidao. "I could tell it was personal. The guy did just walk in and he just shot her."
The surveillance footage shot from multiple cameras inside the store at the Mobile gas station on State Route 100 in Palm Coast shows the shooter in and out within seconds without stealing anything. That's why detectives from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office believe the single mother was specifically targeted.
"They said it was planned but we don't know who planned it," said Vidao.
Friends and family members of Rosado say they do not recognize the gunman in the surveillance video because a shirt was pulled up over his face.
Gwen Gil, a friend of Rosado, said, "I don't know how somebody could do something like that. Don't they put it in perspective that she has kids?"
One of Rosado's teen children said, "I don't know who the guy is. But I mean whoever did it, they took her. We can't do anything about it; she's already gone."
Investigators say they have no suspects.
