JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The third suspect in a home invasion robbery- turned-shooting is behind bars.
Police arrested Antonio J. Lenton, 24, after FHP pulled him over Tuesday for a traffic stop.
The incident happened back in June. Police said three suspects, including Lenton, tried breaking into a home on Oak Water Drive to rob the place. The homeowner grabbed a gun and shot all three of them.
Police said Aaron Harris was found dead on scene. A second suspect, Lawrence Franklin's body was found dumped around the corner at a veterinary clinic.
Police later learned Lenton was treated at the hospital for four gunshot wounds. He isn't the one who fired the deadly shots killing his friends but he's the one police say will pay for it.
"The homeowner was actually the shooter who was acting in a lawful capacity. But basically when an individual commits a crime such as this the home invasion robbery and one of his accomplices is shot and killed then he's responsible for that. That's were we get the felony murder charge," said Assistant Chief Chris Butler.
Police said he admitted his involvement after being pulled over by Florida Highway Patrol.
The homeowner does not face any charges in this case. Police said there could still be one more suspect involved.
