Suspect in CVS robbery and shooting pleaded not guilty
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man suspected of a shooting at a local pharmacy appeared in court Wednesday.
Herman Pickens faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm in a robbery at a CVS Pharmacy in Ortega.
The victim in the CVS robbery was grazed by a bullet.
Pickens pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday afternoon.
Police have also linked Pickens to the shooting death of 53-year-old Robert Sutton at Mojo No. 4 earlier this month.
Both crimes happened early in the morning of July 8.
Police wounded Pickens in a shooting after a chase on the Westside one day later.
