COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say the suspect in a deadly shooting at a Georgia megachurch has been taken into custody.

Eric Heinze with the U.S. Marshals Service says 52-year-old Floyd Palmer was taken into custody Wednesday. No other details were immediately available.

The shooting happened Wednesday morning inside the chapel at World Changers Church International in College Park.

The victim was identified as Gregory McDowell, a 39-year-old church volunteer who was leading a prayer at the time of the shooting.

World Changers Church International is one of the nation's largest. It's located in College Park, about 15 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. Police said the church's founder and leader, the Rev. Creflo Dollar, was not at the church at the time of the shooting.

My prayers go out for the victim's family and for the members of the church. This is so sad.
