Suspect in Lane Avenue shooting sought by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police need your help getting a wanted man behind bars.

Edward Lamont Hicks, 39, is wanted in connection with a shooting at the Canterbury Gardens apartments on Lane Avenue on May 7.

He is wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Hicks goes by the name "Cowboy" and has tattoos all over his body. He has a tattoo of a face on his left chest with the dates 1940-2009. He has a tattoo of an angel on his left arm below the shoulder, and others covering his entire right arm. He's been known to put his hair in dreadlocks or braids.
