JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police arrested a man after a police shooting on Kings Road.
Investigators say a man walked up to a car and started arguing with the driver.
The man pulled a gun on the driver and started shooting, according to JSO. The driver sped off.
An officer witnessed the incident and as he responded to the scene, he fired at the man with the gun, but missed.
Police say the suspect took off running.
Police say the officer chased the gunman in his patrol car.
"He sees the suspect standing in the roadway with a gun raised toward the officer and the officer accelerates and hits the suspect," said Annie Smith with JSO. "He doesn't see the suspect as this point but he hears another gun shot being fired. He exits his car and sees the suspect on the ground with a gun. He takes the gun from the suspect and the suspect is taken into custody."
The suspect, identified as 55-year-old Michael Jerome Hudson, suffered minor injuries.
