COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says the man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Pittsburgh, Pa., has been found inside an Alachua County motel.
With the help of tips called into Crime Stoppers of Columbia County, The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrested 26-year-old Jerrell Whitlock Friday. He was taken into custody along with his girlfriend, Precious Gethers.
Deputies say Whitlock was wanted on charges he stabbed Mike Adams twice in the stomach.
Adams is an offensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Whitlock was wanted for violating the conditions of his probation/parole.
Two other men have already been arrested in the case. Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard said 26-year-old Dquay Means and 25-year-old Michael Paranay were arrested Monday. The charges against the men include attempted homicide, aggravated assault and conspiracy.
