Suspect sought in deadly crash
FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is actively looking for the suspect in a hit-and-run investigation.
According to FHP, a mid-size red Chevrolet pick-up was traveling northbound on US Highway 1 when it struck and killed 24-year-old Sean Ryan as he was trying to cross the highway early Saturday morning.
The crash occurred close to the entrance of Plantation Bay near the Volusia-Flagler County line.
Troopers say remnants of the pick-up left at the scene indicate the suspect vehicle is a 2007 or newer Chevrolet Colorado.
Anyone with information in regards to the hit-and-run crash is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol at 800-387-1290.
