Suspects steal safe full of cash from local store

MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies in Marion County are looking for two suspects who stole a safe full of cash from a local convenience store.

The burglary happened at the Salt Springs Pit Stop in Ft. McCoy. The suspects broke in through a glass door and pried open the store's ATM before taking off with the safe.

Store surveillance video shows two men wearing black hoodies and black masks carrying the safe away from the store. The men got away with at least $590.00.

Parts of the store's safe were later found dumped in nearby woods. The parts are being tested for fingerprints and DNA.
