JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has reopened multiple streets in Downtown after a suspicious suitcase was discovered around midnight.

Police shut down roads to cars and foot traffic as the JSO Bomb Squad opened the suitcase found on Independent Drive. Officers did not find anything dangerous inside the suitcase and cleared the scene with no injuries.

JSO had parts of Laura, Bay and Hogan Streets blocked off for a little over an hour as the investigation took place. All roads are open now.
