ATLANTA (AP) - Target says an investigation into the credit and debit card data theft that occurred earlier this month has found that PIN data was removed along with customers' names and card numbers.

But Target says it believes the personal identification numbers remain safe because the information was strongly encrypted.

It says the PIN can only be decrypted when received by its independent payment processor.

Gee nativejax, your comments are straight from one source. Um~Fox. Target is not a Canadian company. It is American based in Minnesota. So, you will not shop there~no loss to them. Do you or any of your family go to or purchase any items from Disney? That company has been "gay friendly" for decades. Walmart is too. I am sure if you researched most of the stores you shop at there are many "gay" employees. But knowing those such as yourself, you prefer to not check anything out, just take the word of those that like to be thought of as "good Christians." Yeah, you are the worse kind of people I have ever had the misfortune to have contact with. Your need to slam Mr. Obama for every "wrong" is pathetic. The God I serve has to be grieving over the likes of you. You do know the definition of "fool" in the Bible~you and your like fit it perfectly! You lack everything His word teaches us. BTW~Jesus did not say anything about homosexuality. Remember what Jesus' final command is~love is the most important thing~you obvious lack that~remember~even the pagans love their "own." Just saying.

I will never shop at that store again. I know for a fact this Canadian based company backs and funds the 'homosexual agenda'. So if a bunch people's money comes up missing from their bank accounts, they better look into the radical homosexual lobbyist that are FORCING Obama to 'pay up' for getting him elected the 1st time. O Bama has already given the homosexuals a tax break this year and make no mistake, O Bama owes them big time, and the are demanding payment in the form of MORE special laws or another. Again, and this bears repeating, the WORST is yet to come and no doubt these card numbers were NOT stolen by some 'hacker' and being sold all over the your 'Commander in Thief' for another well 'orchestrated' fraud perpetrated by him and his lying administration.

What I'd like to know is why Target feels it's necessary to store PIN information, even if it is encrypted? That should be transitory only and never stored!
