Tax preparer charged with 43 counts of fraud
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A grand jury indicted a Jacksonville tax preparer with tax fraud.
Fuada Delic, 31, faces two counts of filing fraudulent tax returns on her own behalf, and 41 counts of filing fraudulent returns on behalf of her customers.
She faces a maximum penalty of three years in prison for each count if convicted.
Federal prosecutors say Delic underreported the income she received from her business, and falsely claimed that her customers incurred educational expenses, tax credits and charitable contributions. The filed returns were from 2008 through 2010.
