it go's back year's ago. the spending of a $350 million dollar court house. who was responsible for it? a lot of money wasted and could of got some relief for the poor taxpayer's in jax. if people would not run red light's you wouldn't need the camera's. common sense will tell you that. look at all the people when you are driving and see the people who do not stop and go thru the red light on right turn on red. speeding and not using turn signal's and cutting people off are a serious problem. when you took your driving test you didn't run a stop sign or run a red light or speed. people think now you can drive however they want. not all driver's are like that.

Fact is red light camera's going up are not about safety it's about more money. Tax increase but has the average worker seen any pay raises in the past 8 years? ANYONE ON the council that votes for a tax hike on middle class homes should be sent walking and hold immediate recall elections. If they try to block that get a law on the books that council members can be recalled by the voters per voter referendum. 12 percent increase is insane considering the economy.

I will not vote for any member who supports a tax increase. The CITY NEEDS to CUT it's FAT as well as the MAYOR's projects. I think all Jacksonville appointed and elected positions are over paid. Stop picking on city maintenance and safety personnel, start by taking a 20% cut in administration personnel pay and benefits. I am sick of threats by the mayor and city council to cut personnel under the administration level. Let's see REAL fat and waste cut at the administration level. My two cents.
