Teacher from James Weldon Johnson pleads guilty to drug charges

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A local teacher pleaded guilty to drug charges today.

Authorities arrested James Van Richburg during a drug sting in Clay County last month.

He taught at James Weldon Johnson.

Van Richburg pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hydrocodone and resisting without violence.

He has to be on probation for two years, undergo random drug tests and perform 50 hours of community service. He has to pay $623 in fines.
