JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow is slated to speak on the Southside at Celebration Church’s main campus.

Tebow will help kickoff the church’s new Saturday night service on March 23 at 5:30.

He is also slated to make speeches during morning services on March 24.

Last month the quarterback canceled a scheduled appearance in April at First Baptist Church in Dallas after a pastor made controversial remarks about other faiths.

Details of Tebow’s speech have not been released.

Celebration Church is located off the east beltway of I-295 at 9555 R.G. Skinner Parkway.

Why is it hypocritical? To stand up for ones faith and whats 'morally' right and not place yourself with the sinners and gossip mongers, IS EXACTLY WHAT GOD WANTS US TO DO. Gunny48 is right, you pray for all and move on. WE NEED MORE LIKE HIM. He does not JUDGE AND GOSSIP, he stands by his convictions with out making a big stink out of it or by 'attacking' back, foot ball or not, we could learn a lot from him...Only the MEDIA causes us angst by making 'twisted hoopla' out of every thing that happens in this world.

"Last month the quarterback canceled a scheduled appearance in April at First Baptist Church in Dallas after a pastor made controversial remarks about other faiths." Why is his appearance here hypocritical? If the other pastor's statements are not appropriate you pray for him & move on.

I've lost a lot of respect for Tebow. This seems a bit hypocritical to me after cancelling with the church in Dallas.
