Teen admits to car hopping thefts
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies arrested a teenager on car theft charges.
Christian Dae Hartley, 18, is accused of stealing a 2007 Saab last month from a woman who lived on Fairway Park Boulevard.
Hartley's also facing charges for stealing a 2002 Ford Escape from a woman last week on Ponte Vedra Colony Circle.
The suspect first denied stealing the cars, but later admitted to "car hopping" and found the two cars unlocked with the keys inside.
He's being held in jail on $30,000 bond.
