BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Test results are expected to be released on Monday on the synthetic drug "Crazy Clown," according to Brunswick police.

Eight people, ages 16 to 26, were hospitalized last week after smoking the incense.

Police Chief Matt Doering told Action News the synthetic incense was obtained from Mary Jane's Emporium in Brunswick on Thursday afternoon.

Police ran tests on Crazy Clown to see what chemicals it contains and will compare it with a list of banned substances, which will determine if any charges will be filed.

The owner of Mary Jane's Emporium, Jason LaRoche, told Action News he has been selling Crazy Clown for two years and has never received a complaint. He says the packages are marked "not for human consumption" and that he is complying with the investigation. He believes the product is legal.
