The Jags announce Blaine Gabbert out for the season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars announced Wednesday that quarterback Blaine Gabbert will be out for the rest of the season due to injuries.

Gabbert was placed on the injured reserve list due to a right forearm and a left shoulder injury.

Monday afternoon, the Jags announced Chad Henne would start as quarterback Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

The Jaguars also announced that wide receiver Laurent Robinson was also placed on the injured reserve list with a concussion.

Fourth-year quarterback Jordan Palmer and third-year wide receiver Carlton Mitchell were signed to the 53-man roster. Fullback Will Ta’ufo’ou was signed to the club’s practice squad and rookie defensive end Ryan Davis was waived from the practice squad.
