JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lately it seems there just isn’t enough of it.

“As much as they can drink and as much as we can ship out the doors,” says brewer Billy Arthur at Green Room Brewing.

From Green Room Brewing out at the beach to Bold City Brewery in Riverside, one thing is for sure, the local beer appetite has never been better.

"Every time I turn around I hear of a new place that's opening or about to open,” said Jennifer Boccio of Bold City Brewery.

And with every sip, there’s success for the Sunshine State.

According to the National Beer Wholesaler’s Association, Florida’s beer distributors have an annual economic impact of $3.2 billion and directly employ close to 8,000 people. These statistics earned Florida a ranking of 4th in the country for its beer business.

Here in Jacksonville, we’re also feeling the boom.

"We can't brew enough. The Jacksonville beer market demands a tasty cold beer,” Arthur said.

At Green Room, they’re having to move up in capacity and replace their smaller vats with larger ones just to keep up.

Over at Bold City, they’re undergoing a major expansion.

'We’re going to add an additional 14,000 square feet to what we already have so it will put us at 30,000 square feet,” Boccio said.
