JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It is the calm before the storm inside the Supervisor of Elections office at the Gateway Mall on the Northside.

According to Jerry Holland, Supervisor of Elections, things have been running relatively smoothly. A few polling locations have had minor issues. Two lost power briefly today, but the vote was able to go on. Right now, JEA is working to restore power at a location at University and Atlantic Boulevards.

The canvassing board is remaking military ballots that have been sent in from overseas. They come in via fax and those won't go through the machines.

Crews are also separating absentee ballots. As of 5 p.m. Holland says there's been a 68% voter turnout.
