Thieves caught on camera trying to steal ATM from store

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- Two people are on the run after trying to pull an ATM out of a gas station.

A Kangaroo store on State Road 21 was broken into around 2:30 a.m. Friday. Investigators say a man jumped out of a red truck and smashed open the doors to get inside. He tried to hook up a tow line to the machine, but it was too short. The truck driver got out and attempted to help, but the suspects failed and drove off.

Both men were wearing dark clothes including hoodies to mask their identities. Investigators could not make out the license plate of the Ford. No other items were taken from the store.
