JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The state fire marshal is investigating a fire at an abandoned video store on Blanding Boulevard.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews report - the fire started in the roof of Video Empire on the Westside before midnight on Monday. One northbound lane of Blanding Blvd. was closed for the investigation. It is now back open.

The fire marshal was called in to determine if the fire was set intentionally.
No injuries were reported.

This is the third location in this neighborhood to catch fire in about 5 months. A nearly complete hotel was burned in October on Harlow Blvd. And the Church of the Epiphany - also on Harlow Blvd. - has caught fire four times in the last four months. Those fires are being called suspicious.

The state fire marshal could not tell us if this latest fire is linked.
