JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Thousands of runners are preparing to pound the pavement to help stop breast cancer. The registration and health fair for the 26.2 with Donna race was held Saturday at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

More than 10,000 athletes will be running through Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville Beach Sunday morning. The run raises money for breast cancer research and for many in the race the cause hits close to home.

"My aunt Patty was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at 39-years-old, and it's pretty rampant in my dad's side of the family. So we have a lot of people to think about for this run," said Nicole Parker.

This is the sixth year for the marathon. All of the money will go to breast cancer research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and to breast cancer patients who need help with living expenses.
