CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Three men are OK after their boat sank in the St. Johns River Wednesday morning.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office said a witness found one of the boaters.

The incident happened south of the Shands Bridge off State Road 16 in Green Cove Springs.

One of the rescued boaters said he and the other two men were duck hunting. When they were traveling back to shore, the boat took up water, the man said.

Sheriff deputies rescued two of the other male boaters.

The Sheriff's Office has not been able to determine why the boat went under.
