Three people arrested, accused of marijuana distribution out of home
STARKE, Fla. -- The Bradford County Sheriff's Office has arrested three people in connection with a marijuana distribution ring.
The Sheriff's Office says they received complaints about the sale and distribution of large amounts of marijuana at two separate Bradford County homes.
Police arrived at the homes at 4 a.m. Tuesday armed with two search warrants. During the investigation, deputies learned three people would obtain large shipments of marijuana and independently distribute them throughout the county.
The warrants came after a several months-long investigation. The Bradford County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force used several confidential informants and undercover agents to purchase what amounts to felony amounts of marijuana from two different homes.
The Sheriff's Office arrested 3 people 33-year-old Maurice Hankerson, 22-year-old Tressen Risby, and 41-year-old Doug Holland on Tuesday.
Along with the arrest deputies seized more than 3 pounds of marijuana, more than $2,300 in cash and a firearm.
