Times-Union Center evacuated during West Side Story
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts was evacuated Thursday night during West Side Story.
According to JFRD, a power surge triggered an alarm. The situation was under control by 10:10pm.
In a statement the Artist Series says that the there was a power surge during the performance of West Side Story.
They say the surge affected multiple buildings downtown, including the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.
The surge triggered the building's fire alarm and the building was evacuated approximately 10 minutes prior to the end of the show.
The five remaining performances of West Side Story are still scheduled as planned.
