TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A Duval County fugitive listed in the "Top 10 Most Wanted" list has been re-captured in Jacksonville.

Police say James Harold Weismore was originally sentenced to prison in 2008 for the crime of incest with a relative. Weismore was released to sex offender probation in November 2009. He escaped from supervision and GPS monitoring in June 2010. A violation of sex offender probation warrant was issued out of Duval County.

Following an investigation, A Department of Corrections investigator contacted the Jacksonville Police Department who then made the arrest of Weismore.

"This re-capture and arrest is another example of solid investigation work by our absconder unit staff," said DC Secretary Ken Tucker. "While conducting a cold case investigation, a DC Community Corrections investigator found a woman via a social website who turned out to be Weismore's roommate. From that discovery, the investigator was able to track down Weismore living in the Jacksonville area."

Weismore's arrest comes less than a week after announcing a new partnership with the Department of Corrections, Crime Stoppers, the Attorney General's Office and the Department of Law Enforcement, the DC Office of Community Corrections has recaptured one of the absconders on the "Top 10 Most Wanted List".
