Traffic stop leads to local cocaine bust

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Officers seized two pounds of cocaine during a routine traffic stop Thursday morning.

Putnam County deputies pulled over the driver of a black Nissan Altima because the car was drifting in and out of its lane.

The driver, Margarito Arvizu, told deputies he was swerving because he was on his cell phone. The deputies gained consent to search his car and found more than two pounds of cocaine under the driver's seat.

According to the report, Arvizu also had a loaded .38 caliber handgun in his waisteband. He was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail for trafficking cocaine, carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony, and resisting an officer without violence.

Good job getting this guy off the streets and the cocaine out of the hands of the dealers and end users. "grumyoldman"~What is your damage? Your use of the "lame stream media" does provide an idea of what/whom you listen to. It is obvious that you are a grumpy old man. Just how old are you and what is it that makes you so grumpy? Just wondering~

DID they check Mr. Arvizu's Immigration status??? I'm STILL pissed off that I voted for Rick Scott because he PROMISED a ARIZONA Immigration LAW HERE!!!! If I break into your house, YOU DON'T OWE ME A COLLEGE EDUCATION!!!!!!!!! I just turned the news off this morning. I can't sit here and listen to the lame media tell people who are in this country ILLEGALLY how to get a Spanish speaking DR. Or, the other channel, 30 can't keep Obama off my screen!! I would rather watch nothing than the so called news anymore!! If world war 3 breaks out and Obama is the one who announces it, I won't know a thing about it. Everytime he comes on my TV screen, I either change the channel, or, like this morning, just turn it off!!!!
