MIAMI, Fla. (CBS) -- Dorian has managed to reorganize, forming into a tropical depression Saturday morning.

At last report, Tropical Depression Dorian was about 85 miles of Cape Canaveral with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph.

The storm is heading north at 6 mph.

Dorian is expected to continue on its current path Saturday, and then a gradual turn toward the northeast is expected on Sunday.

While the storm did regain strength, it's expected to remain well offshore of the coast of Florida.
