ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, police say Jeannette Houston, 36, drove her truck right through the fast-food giant's location on North Ponce de Leon Boulevard.

Customer James Neal Buck said, "Drove all the way through, knocked a bunch of seats that were around there and hit all the way to the counter."

The truck smashed everything in its path. Fortunately, no customers were in the restaurant. And no employees were hurt. And before long, this McDonald's was back in business, with a couple of temporary repairs.

"A bunch of the other chairs are gone. And where the counter was hit, they have plywood around it taped up," said Buck.

Police found Houston in the driver's seat and hauled her off in handcuffs. She wasn't hurt. But they say she smelled of alcohol. She was taken to jail and charged with DUI, while a wrecker pulled her truck out of the demolished dining room.

A suspected drunken driver made a McMess out of a St. Augustine McDonald's.
