In HONOR of Jordan Davis? No, loud music is being played to aggravate everyone, and to see if another shooting will occur. Peace, everyone, peace. Stop rolling over and giving in, yes, but be aggressive and insulting to each other, to get your point across.

ENOUGH ALREADY!! If this was a white music station telling us to "turn up the music" in protest of a black guy shooting a white guy, there would be tons of publicity against it, and the radio station would be shut down, for a hate crime or some such nonsense. This radio station should fire the DJs, and bring them to trial, for "hate crimes". Yes, racism is being allowed to run wild, with the black folks, and now, with these wicked men at the radio station, the fire is being fueled day and night. Nativejax, I agree with you. This is the left's way of keeping everyone on edge, so they can get rid of any laws they feel are in their way.

You are a racist danielsjdd, why arn't you saying a d@mn word about all the 'black brothers' who have been killing each other daily here in Jax with GUNS? If the Black folk don't have 'sumptin' to claim racist over, they make up shiot. It has been stated repeatedly the stand your ground law probably won't hold up for this Dunn guy. IF IT DOES. then EVERY decent person black or white should be pizzed. UNLESS..there is evidence of a shot gun on security camera...then the law applies. Get over it until the FACTS come out. You know if this had been a black on black crime NO ONE would blame the stand your ground law.

That kid didn't get shot because he was obeying the law and respecting his neighbors. We will never let crime rule our nation. I guarantee you that there was more to this story than what the Press is acknowledging. I have lived in those neighborhoods where crime is constantly ignored. This man may spend the rest of his life in jail and for what? Protecting his rights as a citizen, he is an American hero.

Wow its pretty impressive that this "stand your ground" law is being upheld as a legitimate law. Pretty ironic that EVERY SINGLE STATE with this law is in the South. Read between the lines this law was written for cowardly white people to wipe out blacks and then hide behind this bs law, period. Common sense dictates is it a coincidence everytime it is used it is against a UNARMED PERSON? IF YOU HAVE A GUN AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE SOO MUCH AS A POCKET KNIFE HOW DO YOU FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE? I can already predicate the future when white folks start burying their kids only then will the law be repealed, period. The last parting question I have for America is how much longer do you think you will keep murdering innocent black youth before blacks start murdering yours ? Ps I'm not even close to being racist I'm married to a white Mexican.

I don't think for a moment that this guy had a "right" to shoot this kid for playing his music too loud. And as far as I have been able to discern, he was NOT defending himself, so I don't think that the "stand your ground" law will be an effective defense for him. But I CAN speak as a former photojournalist, that I (personally) feel that it's unethical for all the news media sites to continue harping on this continually. I can already "hear" the jury's verdict after his trial, because of the local overkill in this case and the Trayvon Martin situation, and the bias that is being generated and the inflamation in these cases because of the excessive publicity. Unless it's current news, let it go and not convict the guy in each news article; a timeline from start to finish is not necessary. The friends and family of this boy has my deepest sympathy, but enough is enough.

Some how I dont see this case as being as strong as the case where the teen died in boot camp. Told the 400 lb gorrilas he couldnt run anymore they beat him to death. Caught on video cammera opss they ex cops so the prosecutor fouls the case up. The cornor on case has to be removed because he lied about cause of death. That case was travesty of justice. 3 men killing a teenage boy brutally on cammera and they walk free? Why ? Ex cops can do no wrong even when they are killing a boy who just stole his grandmothers car and was there to be straightened out not put in the ground. This new case is more about black people should have more rights than white people. THey can ignore noise ordiances and not get tickets or called down for it. Why? They will start racial tensions over something most would not. You want champion for justice people should still be outraged over the teen that died in bootcamp and was caught on video. That is why I ask for the video in this case to see with my own eyes what unfolded.

As for turning up your music, what a really stupid idea. One young man got killed over loud music that annoyed an angry man with a gun. So in tribute lets all turn up our music and annoy as many people as possible? Did anyone stop to think that this just might lead to another confrontation between another angry person with a weapon and another young person who just thinks they are doing the right thing.

Why are people blaming the stand your ground law for this terrible act of an angry man. Even if everything printed so far about this case is true I don't believe that any reasonable jury will actually believe this was a real case of stand your ground. The stand your ground law is a good law that allows people to protect themselves and their families. If people or lawyers choose to throw it out there as an excuse for their own bad acts then it is up to the judicial system to find the truth.
