PALATKA, Fla. -- Two people in Putnam County have been arrested and charged with making meth around children.

Chad Douglas, 26, and Cheyenne Liebisch, 30, were taken into custody Monday. Palatka Police say officers responded to a call of strong chemical odors coming from a home in the 2300 block of Husson Avenue. Items commonly used in the processing of methamphetamine were discovered inside the home, according to investigators. The hazardous materials were removed as were three kids found at the house. They range in age from 1 to 14.

Douglas received a charge of possession of listed chemicals, maintaining a drug dwelling and three counts of child abuse. Bond was set at $18,020.

Liebisch was given a bond of $15,516 on charges of maintaining a drug dwelling and three counts of child abuse.
