JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are actively searching for a newer model black Nissan Xtera after two brothers said the driver tried gunning them down -- and hit them -- in an Arlington neighborhood.
"To me, that's attempted murder. He tried to kill us," said Brian Price.
Price is out of the hospital, but pretty banged up. He said Monday night, he and his brother and their four kids were taking a walk through an Arlington neighborhood when they spotted a Nissan Xtera flying through the development.
The brothers tell Action News the vehicle then came barreling toward them on Holly Bay Drive. They scrambled to get the kids out of the road.
"As the driver passed us, my brother and I yelled at them," said Scott Price.
Scott Price said after yelling at the vehicle to slow down, the driver stopped, turned around and charged at them.
"And drives right past me, does a three-point turn, turns around and comes at us again and that time he hits my brother ,then me," Brian said.
Brian was knocked unconscious . Scott, who is a paramedic, rushed to help him.
Now, with countless scrapes, stitches on Brian's chin and staples in the back of his head, they're thankful to be here today. And more thankful it wasn't the kids who were hit. Now, they're pleading for the community to come forward with any information.
"They're intentionally trying to hurt people using a deadly weapon. They need to be taken off the streets," Scott said.
The brothers tell Action News the vehicle should be easy to spot. The little Nissan emblem on the grill is missing.
