FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A two-county, high-speed car chase ended in a crash in Palm Coast Sunday morning, days after the driver carjacked the vehicle in Orange County.

St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputies were in pursuit of the reported stolen car on I-95 south, being driven more than 100 miles per hour to escape police.

SJCSO contacted the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office about the pursuit, where stop-sticks were set up on the exit ramp.

Deputies tell Action News the car avoided the stop-sticks as it exited the interstate, but the driver lost control of the vehicle as he was trying to get back on the interstate and crashed into palm trees along Palm Coast Parkway.

According to police, the driver, Dyson Graham of Jacksonville, fled after the crash leaving his female passenger inside.

Deputies conducted a ground search for Graham with K-9 units. He was discovered hiding beneath a dumpster by a sheriff’s K-9 and received multiple bite marks. He was treated for several bite wounds on the scene.

Officers learned the passenger in the car was a 16-year-old who had been reported missing from Hillsborough County. She is being charged with possession of stolen property.

Police say Graham was charged with possession of stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm and resisting arrest without violence.

Both individuals will be booked at the Flagler County Detention Facility.
