JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Neighbors are calling it a murder mystery. Two women. One week. No answers about their deaths.
'It hurt. It hurt."
Lester Richardson found out about his daughter Shakeerah on Sunday. Detectives came to his home with news she had been found face down in a creek.
'I loved her, and her brother and sister are really upset about her, too," he said.
Turner's family says the 46 year-old was smart, funny and very close to them.
"We're going to really miss her," stepmother Gale Stephens said.
Turner was last seen Saturday. They say her missing a hair appointment set off red flags.
"Be safe. Make sure you talk to your family. Tell them you love them because they may not be there tomorrow," niece Alexis Thompson said.
The circumstances of Kimberly Davis' death are different, but still bizzare. Her body was found in a garage off West 7th Street last week. Friends and family tell us "Bird," as she was called, was the life of the party and always kept a smile on her face.
Police aren't saying if the two deaths are connected, but foul play is suspected in both. JSO says the investigations are ongoing, and they're working to piece things together.
Richardson says he hopes so -- so he and his family can have peace of mind.
'I wish they'd find out who did this awful thing to her because I don't think she deserved that," he said.
